Information about you

Confidential information from your medical records can be used by the NHS to improve the services offered so we can provide the best possible care for everyone

This information along with your postcode and NHS number but not your name are sent to a secure system where it can be linked with other health information

This allows those planning NHS services or carrying out medical research to use information from different parts of the NHS in a way which does not identify you.

YOU HAVE A CHOICE. If you are happy for your information to be used in this way you do not have to do anything.

If you have any concerns or wish to prevent this from happening please speak to the practice staff.

This initiative is being directed by the Health and Social Care Information Service (HSCIC)and not Kennington Health Centre. More information can be found at www.nhs.uk/caredata

Who Should I Call

It is not always appropriate to automatically contact your GP. In fact by doing so you may delay getting access to the help you need.

There are a range of different organisations and ways that you can access appropriate healthcare. Please take a moment to look at this chart and consider which is the best route to get help or advice.

Out of Hours

If you need a doctor urgently when the health centre is closed, phone 01865 730911 and your call will be put through to the message-handling service who will relay your call to the duty doctor.

Emergencies
If you are confronted with a serious problem such as acute chest pain, severe bleeding, collapse or unconsciousness CALL AN AMBULANCE, 999, and then call the doctor. If you need a doctor IMMEDIATELY, tell our receptionist and you will be put through to a doctor.
