In addition to the above, we are open two Saturdays a month and four late nights a month (until 8.15pm). These appointments are for routine matters only. The exact dates can be found on our notice board page.

Out Of Hours

When The Health Centre Is Closed

The health centre closes at 6.30pm on weekdays (the phone is switched to the night-time message at 6.00pm). It is closed at weekends and during bank holidays. We are closed over the lunch period 1.00 - 2.00pm every day. If you need a doctor urgently when the health centre is closed, phone 01865 730911 and your call will be put through to the message-handling service who will relay your call to the duty doctor.

We are members of "OXEMS", a group of Oxford GPs who are working together to provide patient care outside normal surgery working hours. "OXEMS" provides the traditional doctor-on-call service for emergencies, and runs a Patient Care Centre where you can go, by appointment only, in the evening and at weekends to receive urgent treatment from a doctor.

Emergencies

If you are confronted with a serious problem such as acute chest pain, severe bleeding, collapse or unconsciousness CALL AN AMBULANCE, 999, and then call the doctor. If you need a doctor IMMEDIATELY, tell our receptionist and you will be put through to a doctor.
